IRS Warns of Fake Tax Bill Emails

IRS scams are rampant, both via phone and email.  This new warning by the IRS and its Security Summit partners is a good reminder as we wind into Q4 that these scams are on the rise.  Remember that the IRS will NEVER initiate contact with taxpayers via email or social media.  If you receive something suspicious please forward it to  phishing@irs.gov  and then delete it from your email account.  Contact our office and our staff can confirm through legitimate means whether you have an unresolved issue with the IRS.
